Introduction

Kuali Bakers is added feature to the existing Kuali app which enables users to search for their nearest local bakers. This greatly increases the presence of bakers to be discovered by more people, boosting the baking economy of Malaysia.

Technicality

I've developed Kuali Bakers API to enable both the Android and iOS apps to search for the nearest bakers based on a user's location all under a split second (tested on an Android 10 device and iPhone 12). I've also developed the API to enable users to save their favorite bakers into the database.
The search nearest API is powered by ElasticSearch managed via AWS. I've also written the documentation for the API. The API is written in node.js.
